Company profile: African Nomad Safaris run by Eddie Hawkey with over 17 years as a wildlife officer/guide and Hayley Wood who has lived and worked in Africa for 5 years.We have now added to our list of trips, a horse riding and wildlife safari to Malawi. We provide safaris for couples, small groups but also try and encourage families with children of any age also adults and children with special needs. Camping and lodge based trips using local campsites and lodges if possible. 5* service at affordable prices.
Destination Profile: You will be riding in local forests, floodplains, through local villages and on the beach.Taking horses for a swim at the end of the day.There is also a sand arena and Polocrosse field at the stables where you will also find your beautiful accommodation. You can ride up to 6 hours a day. All food, soft drinks, water and snacks while riding are included then you will spend 4 days to relax on the lake where you can snorkel, dive, swim, sail. After you will have 3 days of game drives and boat trips in Liwonde National Park looking for elephants and hippo's before we drive back to Lilongwe where you have your last night at a lodge.
About the horses: 28 horses of a variety of size, age, capabilities and breeds including ex-racing thoroughbreds to Basotho ponies. All level of riders welcome.
